Toronto, ON – June 5, 2007 – Today, National Post and Virtual Reach Inc., the developer of the breakthrough mobile platform Viigo, announced they have partnered to deliver real-time access to the Post’s breaking news, commentary and analysis on mobile devices.
Beginning today, all National Post readers will be able to receive the National Post’s news, headlines and insight on their BlackBerry handhelds, free of charge.
“Virtual Reach’s unique application delivers National Post’s breaking news, commentary and analysis in a clean, clear, easy-to-read format,” said Jonathan Harris, Director Online, National Post. “It's the perfect way to help our readers stay on top of the news while on the go.”
After downloading the small Viigo application to their mobile device, National Post readers will have live access to news from the National Post, financial headlines and stories from Financial Post as well as three of the Post’s most popular blogs, Full Comment, Posted and FP Trading Desk, which delivers real-time, market analysis throughout the trading day.

Viigo will also be available on Windows Mobile devices in the next couple of weeks.
Investment banks and their institutional clients will also have access to FP Trading Desk content on their mobile devices through Dashboard Mobile, a mobile aggregator of investment research and news also powered by Viigo.
“The National Post is a perfect fit for Viigo,” commented Jay Steele, Founder of Virtual Reach. “The platform lends itself very well to the needs of newspapers and other media as they seek to extend their reach to an increasingly mobile audience and achieve real-time content delivery.”
In addition to partnering with Viigo, as part of its ongoing mobile and online strategy, the National Post has recently introduced a number of enhancements to provide a richer content experience. The Financial Post Daily Podcast provides users with a concise summary of the day’s business and financial news at the start of the day; email alerts keep users informed of news, volume and price changes for stocks or mutual funds; and an improved portfolio tool which is available at www.financialpost.com and provides all the data to help make informed investment decisions.
In addition to National Post content, Viigo users also have one-click access, via the Viigo Channel Library, to a wide variety of the web’s best content and services. The Channel Library is constantly updated by Virtual Reach editors with new and fresh ideas.
